The purpose of this document is to document the labour's user workflow for filling out the Job Queue Item Card and job queue features.
The job queue in Business Central allows users to schedule and run specific reports and codeunits. You can set jobs to run once or repeatedly, or you may want to run a codeunit E-mail Processing daily to make sure that pending email messages to customers regarding their service orders are sent in a timely manner. A job queue can have many items, which are jobs that the queue manages and runs. The information in the item determines which codeunit or report is run, when and how often the item runs, in what category the task runs, and how it runs. You must have permission to run a specific report or procedure, or an error will be returned when you run a job queue item.
